6 Benefits Of A Minimalist Home

Maya and I are making a big change in the next few weeks. We’re changing countries, finishing school, and starting anew. We’re going to have to make new friends, find new ways of pursuing our hobbies and passions, and basically start over again. Thinking about this move as a fresh start, we decided to review how we’ve been living, and see what we could improve. A big decision we made was to fix the amount of stuff that we have.

Who controls your life? Your boss? Your parents? Your children or spouse? Perhaps you give up control at various times during the day, but take it back for brief moments here and there. If you feel like you’re in complete control of your life, this article probably won’t speak much to you. For myself, at various times in my life I’ve felt like almost everything was beyond my control.

A Personal Lesson in Perseverance

On the surface, I am a healthy person. I eat well, exercise, and get enough sleep. I think the worst you could say is that I look a tad underweight for my height. I would wager that most people would never be able to guess that I suffer from a chronic, painful, and incurable (at present moment) disease. I have Crohn’s disease.
